Not Your Fathers of Old

Image
Or, another reason for smiles, and warm & fuzzy feelings at weddings. One of my favorite things to photograph at weddings are fathers. That is to say, fathers holding very young children, while moms are shaking their booties on the dance floor. The days of men hanging around the keg, congregating behind the barn or in the parking lot passing around the flask, are not gone, but there is a new activity for fathers in today's weddings – holding the baby so mom can have some fun. Judging by the contented expressions on their faces, I don't think they feel short changed.
